Marc Wachenhausen is cofounder and partner of the firm. Before starting his own practice, he was partner in the Munich office of the international law firm Bird & Bird LLP. Over a period of more than 20 years, he has collected experience across many fields, including patent litigation, strategic patent prosecution and IP counseling. In particular, Marc Wachenhausen frequently represents his clients in hearings at the Federal Patent Court and the Supreme Court, as well as in Regional Courts for infringement. Marc Wachenhausen has extensive experience in medical technology (e.g. cardiovascular, ophthalmic and dental medical devices) and mechanical engineering, including automotive technology, combustion and energy technology, and production technology. He also frequently works at the interface of mechanical engineering and computer science with his team members.His focus has always been to find optimal solutions for his clients. Consequently, the JUVE Handbook cites Marc Wachenhausen as “competent, quick and very client-oriented”. With his deep insight into industry and his strategic capabilities, he is frequently asked for his support in license matters and settlement negotiations. Marc Wachenhausen is also involved in academic projects, speaks at multiple seminars and summits, and was the keynote speaker at the International Conference on “Additive Manufacturing Meets Medicine” (AMMM) in Lübeck. Her ties to the IP sector date back to 1995, when she worked as a patent administrator in the English department of a mid-sized patent law firm in Munich.Prior to joining WBH Wachenhausen, Ms. Vernier worked as a freelance translator and proofreader of legal, scientific and technical texts for major corporations and research institutes in the DACH region. Nicole Askin began her training as a patent paralegal in the field of intellectual property law in 2003 with a patent attorney in Munich, and successfully completed her training 2005. Following this, she worked at an international patent law firm in Munich, where she gained experience in various areas of IP law. Subsequently, she was instrumental in establishing a new patent law firm, where she played a central role in organizing the office structure and implementing office procedures. In 2014, she became the team leader and head of administration of a globally leading company in the field of elevators and escalators in Switzerland, responsible for all industrial property protection. Upon her return to Munich, she further enhanced her experience as head of administration and group coordinator at a patent law firm. In her role, she focused on establishing and structuring workflows and processes, as well as supervising paralegal trainees. Since 2024, Nicole Askin is working for WBH Wachenhausen as IP paralegal. She is responsible for administration and implementation of workflows and processes, as well as monitoring cases and deadlines for WBH Wachenhausen.
